(Poetry) pomodoro

It’s time to do a thing
I can do the thing
Make the words
Take some terms
Mix ’em together
Let ’em ring
No deleting
Only writing allowed
Let it all out

It’s only twenty five minutes
No pressure
Let ’em go
Let the words surge forth
upon the planning board
No rewrites
No dictionary
No thesaurus
No analysis by artificial intelligence
Nothing but writing

No overthinking
Just do the thing
Don’t worry about perfect
existence is enough
Great can’t come
without good enough
Let the mind just
do its stuff.

This poem, written using the pomodoro technique (which I’ve actually found to be very helpful, and I plan to use it more often), also plays off of my previous poem, when the words don’t do the thing.
