(Poetry) out of sequins

My parts don’t work together,
That much I can tell you.
I’m a walking contradiction
composed of diamonds and cheap glue.

I am Order and Chaos,
apathy and energy,
derivative and unique.
I’m not one for discussions,
yet sharing makes me happy.

I like to write,
I like to play.
I like to dream,
I’d like to say
how much your words mean to me…

If only I could find a way to say it,
to dig through this murky mind of mine
and find the diamonds
mixed in amongst the sequins.
