In stalwart defiance
looms a shield of concrete
and steel composition,
in disruption of the natural order.
The lake behind it
was never meant to be,
and it craves freedom…
it longs to follow the course
to the great whale-road beyond…
but man had other plans in mind
for Mother Nature’s grand design.
