(Poetry) Icebreaker

Drifting through the northern seas,
a lone ship spots a formidable foe:
The dreaded iceberg,
destroyer of the unsinkable.

The captain knows what awaits
for those who tempt fate.
He turns the ship away.

The icy leviathan cries
a deep and mournful tone,
bemoaning the crimes
its kin committed long ago.

It creaks and groans,
knowing it’s far too late
to mend this break.
