The life of an Archangel can’t be easy…
especially for one who expresses God’s will.
Do you think Gabriel ever gets tired of his job?
It can’t be easy, dealing with us humans.
We’re selfish, confrontational, deluded…
It’s no wonder the old world got flooded.
What hope do the angels have of staying gracious
if even their Father can lose his infinite patience?
Perhaps the work itself is the reward,
and Gabriel doesn’t mind our numerous flaws.
Seeing as we still exist, our kind must be redeemable yet.
We were, after all, made in God’s image.
Even so, I hope the angels get vacations.
They’ve certainly earned it.
