Resolution: 2020

It’s hard to believe a whole decade has gone by, eh? So much has happened, so much has changed. World leaders have come and gone, a multitude of disasters and miracles alike have occurred, and we find ourselves in new places with new experiences. With the approach of a new decade, it’s about time we start looking towards what the next ten years hold. With that idea in mind, considering technology’s ever-increasing importance, I’ve set up this website for myself.

I know you’re not normally supposed to reveal your resolutions to others, but in this case, I feel that it would be better to have someone holding me accountable to this. I’ve been playing with the concept of having a centralized blog to display my writing for a while, but I was hesitant to move forward until I had a better grasp of all my options. Since you’re reading this post now though, it means I’m now at the point where I feel ready to share this website with others.

Though what I have readily available is limited at the moment, I’ve compiled some of my earlier works from my student writer position at The Bolt News, if you want to look through those in the meantime. My main resolution this year is to build up my portfolio here by publishing at least 25 new works, which I feel is a reasonable goal to start with. I shouldn’t overload myself by setting the standard too high right off the bat, but I calculate that I should easily reach this goal as long as I post at least once every two weeks. My first new post should be going up in a few days, if not tomorrow, so stay tuned for that!

My name is Tyler DeWacht, and this is my new website, Tyler DeWriter! I know it isn’t that impressive right now, but I’ll keep working at it. Feel free to leave me feedback or suggestions, I’m always open! For now, I hope you’ll enjoy what I have to offer. Anyways, cheers be to you, and here’s to what will hopefully be a better decade!
