Hello, people of the internet. It’s me, Tyler DeWriter. You may know me from websites, such as Tyler DeWriter. Insert clever and witty opening statement here. Today, I’d like to talk about a game called West of Shadows of Loathing. So, what is Shadows of Loathing, you may be asking?
Shadows Over Loathing, a game by Asymmetric Publications, is certainly one of the games ever made. It has monsters. It has mobsters. It has lobsters… I think. Spiders count as lobsters, right? I read it online somewhere, so it must be true.

Also, it has jokes. Many, many jokes. Gags, too. A few giggles here, a few guffaws there, and even a few hee-hees for good measure. The options are limitless. You can defeat robots with smooth jazz, mystic mozzarella, or the good ol’ fashioned fisticuffs. You can befriend an alligator man that definitely won’t try to eat you while you’re sleeping. You can admire a spittoon that some guy once wore as a hat.
If you enjoy turn-based action combat, wanton chaos, existential dread, and hats, then you will like this game. Not convinced? Watch Markiplier’s West of Loathing playthrough, and you’ll have a good idea of what to expect, and whether this is for you. Insert call to action, inspiring people to try the game.
