(Poetry) All Eyes on Him

The heart drinks it all in
as the show begins;
as the lights go dim,
all eyes turn
to Him.
He, who is on stage.
He, who has something to say
to us, for us,
asking for focus
as our time is taken,
wages given,
transferred unto Him,
on nothing more than a whim
that what He has to say
is worth the wait,
that the time we gave
to match our wavelengths
and take His words in
was worth the cost of admission.
